A few years ago, I embarked on a project to document the housing estates of Singapore. Click on the following blogs to find out about the variety of HDB (Housing Development Board) flats, the neighbourhood cats and other sightings around the estates.
I hope you’ll enjoy this visual exploration of urban Singapore.
HDBSG: Our HDB flats come in a variety of designs and colours. I photograph them from different angles so that one can gain appreciation for day-to-day sightings.
HDBSGCATS: Our neighbourhood cats live rather pampered lives as residents leave kibbles for them every other evening.
WALKTHROUGHHDBSG: Our void decks were meant for social gatherings. Some have evolved into study corners or places for the elderly to congregate and exercise. Sometimes, we see foreign workers resting on the benches or on the floor, and we cannot deny how we need them to build our estates, our homes.
